History

The MIT Enterprise Forum is the preeminent organization of entrepreneurs in the global innovation economy. Founded in 1978 as part of the MIT Alumni Association, the MIT Enterprise Forum offers over 400 educational and networking events through 28 chapters globally.

MIT Enterprise Forum participation and involvement is open to any member of the entrepreneurial community and attracts executives, business leaders, venture capitalists, industry experts, and service organizations, in addition to our core of emerging entrepreneurs with technology business expectations.

The most valuable component of the MIT Enterprise Forum is the networking connections that are developed amongst technology entrepreneurs and the communities in which they reside.

On July 1, 2011, the MIT Enterprise Forum transitioned from the MITAlumni Association to Technology Review, an independent media company owned by MIT that is the leading source for emerging technologies and their impact for technology and business leaders.
